I have been watching a lot of videos, and reading a lot about animal abuse lately and I would like to just vent because the whole thing pisses me off. In more ways than just one.

There is the side of me that knows, without a doubt, that animal abuse is sick and wrong. I have watched all the shows, such as on Animal Planet for example. The things I have seen on some of those shows, are just too sickening for me to want to recount. But, one that disturbed me more than the others, was about a young dog who had been attacked by another dog. The dog that was attacked was left outside, and his wounds were so severe that flies began to lay their eggs in them, and eventually they developed into maggots. When the ‘animal cops’ or whatever those people are called found the poor dog, it was apparent that he needed help immediately and they took him to their veterinary hospital. With no real sure way to get rid of the maggots, they attempted to ‘drown’ them out of the dog, using either water or un harmful chemicals, I don’t remember which. In any case, they discovered that the maggots were much more wide spread through out the dogs system than they thought. Instead of just his old wounds being infested with maggots, it turned out that one of his hind legs was completely filled with them. The vet actually described it in a very gruesome way. She said. ‘ If you were to cut open his leg and pull back the skin there, you would only see maggots.’

These parasites were devouring this dog from the inside out. Can you imagine that happening to yourself? The thought sickens me. The vets decided that the dog was in too much pain, and there was no guarantee that they could remove the maggots and save him, so he was put down.

I’m not saying in any way that I support animal abuse, because I don’t. I never will. But it pisses me off when people sit up on their high fucking horse and tell people animal abuse is bad, and if you have ever laid a hand on an animal you should die. Ignorant things, such as people saying thoroughbred racing is abusive. Know your facts people. Unless you have glued yourself to that horses ass and watched everything it has done and how people treat it, don’t fucking call it abused. Those animals love to run and compete. It’s what they were bred for. They love it. Do you remember Barbaro? When his leg snapped, for lack of a better word, he was still trying to run. I watched that race and watched as that horse tried to continue to run, even after he obtained his injury.

There is a point where people go too far. I watch people fight and bitch and call each other names over this. There’s always the person that defends the animals, and the person who tries to condone the abuse in some way. Quite honestly, you are all fighting for nothing. Fucking nothing. All you people who think you are fighting for animals rights by bitching at some ignorant person, you don’t know shit. I would bet my college fund, if I had one, that 90% of these people on You tube and all the others sites haven’t done a damn thing for these animals. That makes them no better than the people that think it’s okay.

The last thing that pisses me off, is all the people that post comments on these retarded videos (that are going to have such an impact and stop animal abuse forever… yeah right. Are you stupid?), they say things like, ‘Oh, that’s so wrong. Anyone who ever lays a hand on an animal should die.’ When in your life have you not thought you were superior to animals? It’s how humans are raised. Can you honestly say you have never gotten pissed off or annoyed at your dog or cat? That you have never harmed any animal in any way what so ever? I doubt it. People need to stop being ignorant and learn the facts.

I’m not saying I myself am some big animal activist, but honestly guys, don’t be stupid. Get out there and do something to actually help the animals if you’re going to go on and on about how wrong abuse is.

I don’t plan to start a debate or a fight. But there, I vented. Ha.
